Photo Journal - Paris Part I

“There are only two places in the world where we can live happy: at home and in Paris.”

Ernest Hemingway

Oops we did it again. This crazy family cannot be stopped. We made a last minute escape and went to Paris. We loved every minute of it (last time here - Obviously, it's been too long).

We had some rough idea of things we wanted to do (you know, places we did not want to miss or backup plans in case of rain) but all in all... we wanted our time in Paris to be unstructured, very leisurely, with lots of opportunities for cafe breaks. Time for reading, people watching, you know, take it easy and enjoy ourselves. I hope you don't mind an overload of pictures. It is so hard to contain yourself when you are in Paris (I have broken this post into two. Yikes, that's a lot of pictures!)

We decided to make Montmartre our home base. I think next time, we will stay in this area again. Montmartre is fun and messy and busy and lovely all at the same time. We took walks around the charming streets

The rooftops of Paris are so fun to photograph

Continuing on... The best view of the Eiffel Tower, Trocadero

A walk by the banks of the Seine
Mom paparazzi here... Watch it

Can you think of a movie filmed on this bridge? Come on... Any Leo DiCaprio fans out there?

Another iconic Paris monument. We wanted to get more pictures from the rooftops so up we went, to the top of the Arc de Triumph

Walking and people watching on the Champs Elysees and beyond

Part II next...
