Through their eyes - Mexico City

So for Thanksgiving weekend we went to Mexico City! It has become our little thing now... Skipping the Thanksgiving hoopla for some adventuring... See what we did last year here.

We packed a bunch on our little 5 day get away... I will try to condense some of the kiddos favorite activities.... Here we go...

Visiting The Museum of Anthropology

Visiting the Aztec ruins of Teotihuacan and getting the insight from the best guide anybody can ask for... My parents' friend (for more than 50 years) Sr. Arturo Garibay

Walking around colonial Zocalo

Sketching and marveling at the Diego Rivera Murals in Ministry of Education and the National Palace

Walking around Bosque de Chapultepec

Visiting Frida Khalo's Blue house - Coyoacan (Miss V loves some Frida as documented here and here)

Walking around the Coyoacan and San Angel neighborhoods

Visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and being awestruck by the devotion of the Mexican people... We were delighted to experience offerings from various indigenous groups... Just extraordinary

Picnicking  with a show - Bosque de Chapultepec

Speaking of food... Eating all the fabulous foods (sometimes with a show, sometimes in a cave...)

We are still hungry for Mexico... Going there for a few days only opens your appetite... We want to see more... Hopefully we can make it there again next year.

See another "Through their Eyes" post from Mexico here.
