Through their eyes - New York City

Another trip to New York City requires a new "Though their Eyes" post where I compile a list of favorite activities with the kids when we visit a new town.

New York never ceases to amaze me, so much to see and do. On this recent trip, we extended our exploring to nearby Brooklyn. Here are a few highlights...

Sailing tour of the Hudson River - Amazing!

Shake Shack's burgers at Madison Square Park, TWICE! - (the kids had the Shack Burger, I had the 'Shroom burger with fries and shakes. We all LOVED them!!!)

Hungry squirrels in Madison Park...
Munching on Grimaldi's Pizza and root beer, grabbing an ice cream cone from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and enjoying the Manhattan skyline at night (the perfect trifecta) - DUMBO, Brooklyn

Exploring Brooklyn's Prospect Park, Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO
More food... Momofuku's crack pie, food trucks, Magnolia Bakery's cupcakes, Zabar's and the best ice cream sandwiches we have ever had... The last one, we tried on Water Street, DUMBO
A very excited little boy...
If you are planning a trip to NYC with kids, and need ideas on where to go and what to do once you are there, keep these ideas in mind. I know for me, the best advice comes from people in the same situation that I am, those who have done it already. I hope you find my ideas helpful and give you some inspiration.
